If only I had known about Advertising copy in any form is not about the product. It’s about how the product can make a buyer’s life better; So you have to make people WANT to read your copy and the headline is the first, last, best, and ONLY opportunity you have to accomplish this feat. If you’re like, you should pay very careful attention to page 7, where the author goes into great detail about this topic.
This is an example of Lousy Headline from the book of Anik Singal “(Famous Author) Spent A Year Researching (book title) About Stocks and Bonds!!!!” This is a lousy headline for three reasons. 1. It is about the author. 2. It is about the product. 3. It’s NOT about the customer! This is an example of Good Headline from the book of Anik Singal “Shocking Secrets YOU Need To Know About Stocks and Bonds Before You Invest — Or Risk Losing It All!” This is a good headline for three reasons. 1. It’s about something the reader needs to avoid loss. 2. It calls the reader to action — he has to do something BEFORE he makes another investment. 3. It looks like INFORMATION that the reader wants.
Second Tip: You put your link to buy the bottom of the page?
I was quite surprised to find out about this devastating mistake that I was making when I put my link to buy at the bottom of the page. But the author set me straight on his book, where he explains how to Don’t make this mistake. You should NEVER have ore than 200-250 words between call-to-action links.
From the book: “Make it easy for people to buy the product. Whether your copy is short or long, give them multiple opportunities to buy. And don’t make them have to hunt for the price or the purchase links!” And this is only the introduction of the long chapter on The Call-to-Action links that you will find the book in question
Third tip: The way of closing Paragraph
This way of Closing Paragraph was a complete surprise to me. But once you read all about it, you’ll be as eager to try it as I was. The entire process is described on book Written by Anik Singal.
